Founded by children and youth in 2005, OneChild is the first organization in the world solely dedicated to empowering young people to co-lead the fight against the sexual exploitation of children. Led at its founding by then-teenage children’s rights advocate and later Nobel Peace Prize nominee Cheryl Perera, we’ve spent more than 20 years turning young people’s ideas and experiences into action through prevention education, advocacy, research, survivor care, and survivor empowerment.
